Junior tickets are for age 16 and under. Senior tickets are for age 65 and over. Students must be in full time education.

Children under the age of 2 years will not require a ticket. The child must be strapped to their parent/guardian or be happy to sit on their knee for the duration of the event. 

Your ticket will be issued via the Eventim app. Download the Eventim app and sign in to access your ticket.

Please note the North and South Stands are not covered.

Ticket Dispatch

Your phone is your ticket. Download the latest version of the Eventim app, sign in and view your tickets before you get to the venue to ensure easy entry. Your tickets will not be emailed to you.

Venue Information

Safety & Security

Your safety is our number one priority and we have a number of security measures in place to ensure you have the safest and most enjoyable experience.

Please minimise the amount of possessions you bring with you to the event. Our security provision for the event will include searching so please allow extra time to get to the venue, as a full bag and body search will be in operation.

There will be a police and security presence at the event as we work closely with our agencies and partners to ensure the safety and security of those attending.

Bag Policy

Please travel light; large bags or luggage will not be permitted in to the venue. Small handbags and rucksacks no larger than 30cm x 20cm x 20cm (A4) will be allowed. These bags must be capable of fitting under a seat and must accommodate all possessions except your coat or outer clothing.

Prohibited Items 

Certain items are not allowed into the Stadium in the interests of Health and Safety including but not limited to:

Weapons, ammunition, firearms, explosives, pyrotechnics, gas cylinders, knives, horns, air horns, vuvuzelas, whistles, drums, musical instruments, fireworks, flares, large flags/banners, offensive messaging, helium balloons, selfie sticks, smoke cannisters, drones, laser devices, strobe lights, illegal drugs, balls, rackets, frisbees, bicycles, rollerblades, skates, scooters, segways, or any other item which in our reasonable opinion may cause danger or disruption to the event or to any other person (regardless of whether or not such item is illegal or is carried for specific purposes).

Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the Stadium. Any article that might be used as a weapon is deemed to be offensive or abusive, or compromise public safety, will be confiscated and reported to the Police.

Spectator Etiquette 

Please be respectful of those around you by ensuring that you do not obstruct their view or cause any unnecessary inconvenience. Please keep noise to a minimum during track starts and respect the athletes.

Cameras and Binoculars Policy

We understand that amateur photography is part of the enjoyment when attending live athletics. We know we have the world’s most passionate and knowledgeable spectators, and as such we want them to be able to take home as many memories of top class athletics as possible.

Cameras (and accompanying camera bags no bigger than 30cm x 20cm) with a maximum lens length of six inches are permitted – if you have a lens length that extends beyond six inches we politely request that you keep to this length as a maximum so to not block the view of those next to or behind you in the stadium. Video camcorders and audio equipment are not allowed into the venue. iPads, binoculars and accompanying carry cases are permitted. Any pictures, images or footage must be for personal use only.

Professional camera equipment (including tripods and monopods) can only be used by accredited photographers and is not permitted in spectator areas.

Please be respectful of those around you and do not block the view of other spectators.

Food and Beverages

A small amount of cold food for personal consumption can be brought into the stadium. Sealed plastic bottles of water or juice under 500ml are permitted.  All containers/utensils must be plastic – no alcohol and strictly no glass or cans are allowed.

Hot food and beverages will be available to purchase at the event.

Cash Machine

Please note there is no cash machine on site, the nearest is at Subway at the end of Church Road.

Event Presentation

Please note that strobe lighting, pyrotechnics and other special effects may be used at this event.

Travel Information

Public transport is the best way to get to and from the Alexander Stadium

Roads around the stadium can become very busy we therefore recommend using public transport and planning ahead for your journey by reading the travel advice below.

Travelling by bus

Alexander Stadium is well served by public buses which provide fast connectivity to the city centre and across the region.  Services stop on both the A34 and Aldridge Road both a short walk to the stadium. Additional buses stop on Birchfield Island, Perry Barr which is a 25-minute walk away.

Walking and Cycling

Walking and cycling are the greenest and most efficient ways to reach the stadium. The designated blue cycle route along the A34 provides direct access to Birmingham City Centre in just 25 minutes and there will be cycle parking provided to lock your bike up. The main spectator entrance is off Church Road.

Travelling by train

From Birmingham New Street Station catch the train to Perry Barr Station then walk 25 minutes to the Alexander Stadium.

Travelling by car

We advise all spectators to take advantage of the public transport network to access the Alexander Stadium. Roads around the stadium become very busy.

Information on spectator parking will be available in spring 2027.

Traffic Management

Church Road will operate as a one-way road from 8:00am to 9:00pm on both event days. Access to Perry Park will be via Aldridge Road only. There will be no access from the A34 Walsall Road.

The roads around the stadium will become busy. Please leave plenty of time for travel and plan your journey carefully.

Clean Air Zone

Birmingham City Centre now has a Clean Air Zone in operation. The Alexander Stadium is not within the Clean Air Zone however please be aware that depending on the route that you take around the region on the day, you may enter the clean air zone and charges will apply.

Accessibility

Tickets

Accessible seating is available at the Alexander Stadium, including wheelchair positions and companion positions or ambulant disabled seating with few or no steps.  These seats need to be booked in advance to ensure that your requirements can be accommodated.

Wheelchair tickets are available around the stadium in the blocks listed below and include a free companion ticket. Wheelchair tickets are a wheelchair bay position and one companion seat.

West Stand

Blocks 103 / 104 / 107 & 108 – Undercover elevated position at the back of the lower tier. Ramp access to positions behind the West Stand.

South Stand

Blocks 112 / 113 / 116 & 117 – Open air elevated position at the back of the lower tier. Ramp access to positions in South West corner of the stadium.

East Stand

Blocks 122 / 124 & 126 – Undercover elevated position at the back of the lower tier. Ramp access via the North East corner of the stadium. This includes a long ramp that may require more time to navigate and may be more suitable for motorised wheelchairs.

North Stand

Blocks 131 / 132 / 135 & 136 – Open Air elevated position at the back of the lower tier. Ramp access via the North East corner of the stadium. This includes a long ramp that may require more time to navigate and may be more suitable for motorised wheelchairs.

Wheelchair tickets can be purchased online with a free companion ticket. They can be identified online by the International Symbol of Access and the wording ‘Wheelchair Accessible & Essential Companion’. Wheelchair tickets are priced at Category C (West Stand) and Category D (All other stands).

Ambulant disabled seating is available at the stadium in areas with limited steps and easier access. A free companion ticket can also be requested for any ambulant disabled spectators who need assistance attending the event. They can be identified online by the International symbol of access and the wording ‘Ambulant Disabled & Essential Companion’. Please note ambulant disabled tickets are standard seats and do not include a wheelchair bay. Ambulant tickets are priced depending on their loccation around the stadium.

Please note the North & East Stand access route includes a long ramp that may require more time to navigate and may be more suitable for motorised wheelchairs. The North and South Stand are uncovered and open to the elements.

By purchasing an Ambulant disabled or Wheelchair ticket, you confirm that you or a member of your party require Accessible tickets.

Proof of eligibility may be requested before the event. Tickets may be cancelled if misuse is suspected/found.

Accessible Entry

Talk to a member of staff at the stadium entrance if you are unable to wait in a queue for a period of time. They will organise priority entry for you as soon as the gates open.

Guide and Assistance Dogs

Guide and Certified Assistance Dogs are very welcome at the stadium.

Please notify accessibility@britishathletics.org.uk at the time of booking.

Dogs must either be identifiable as a trained Guide / Assistance Dog or have the necessary training paperwork if requested.

Dogs should be kept on a lead/harness at all times.

Accessible Toilets

Accessible toilets are available at the stadium, close to the wheelchair bays. These toilets are larger than standard toilets. Some of these toilets are controlled by RADAR keys which will be given to staff but if you have your own key please make sure you bring it with you.

Changing Places Toilet

There is a changing places toilet facility in the West Stand lower tier towards the start line.

This facility meets the needs of people with multiple and complex disabilities who have one or more carer with, and assisting them, by providing extra features and more space.

Features include:
Height adjustable, adult sized changing bench
Ceiling hoist system to lift people between wheelchairs and the toilet/changing bench

Please note compatible slings for the ceiling hoist system are not provided. Customers are asked to bring their own.

Medication

Spectators are advised to bring medication in its original packaging and only enough for use during the event. All spectators are subject to bag searches and any unmarked/unpackaged medication will be confiscated.

Portable oxygen cylinders are permitted for medical use only.

There is no refrigeration on site so please make sure that you package your medication appropriately for the duration of your visit; we suggest bringing a small cool bag for any medication which needs to be kept cool.

Special Effects

Please be aware that pyrotechnics, strobe lighting, special effects and fireworks may be used at this event.
