Olympic 200m champion Gabby Thomas (USA) will compete at the Novuna London Athletics Meet on Saturday 18 July.

A three-time Olympic gold medallist in Paris 2024 in the 200m, 4 x 100m relay and 4 x 400m relay, the 29-year-old has a 200m personal best of 21.60 (Eugene, 2023) which ranks her fourth-fastest woman of all-time.

The 2023 world silver medallist missed the 2025 World Championships due to an Achilles injury but is unbeaten in 2026 to date, enjoying a series of early season wins including a 10.95 100m PB in Botswana in April.

Most recently, she produced the standout sprint performance at the USATF Lone Star Grand Prix in College Station, Texas, winning the 200m in 21.70.

“London is one of my favourite Diamond League meets, and I’m excited to return as part of my preparations for September’s Ultimate Championships,” said Thomas who last raced in the capital in 2024, clocking 21.82 for the win and a meeting record (at the time) that filled her with confidence going into the Olympic Games later that summer.

“I can still remember competing in London in 2024 so clearly. The crowd was great and the atmosphere in the stadium was incredible. Training is going well, and I look forward to a great show at the Olympic Stadium.”

She will line up alongside British trio: Daryll Neita, British Record holder Dina Asher-Smith and Tokyo World silver medallist Amy Hunt.

The organisers can announce that they have sold more than 50,000 tickets for the world’s biggest one-day athletics event. The Novuna London Athletics Meet – is the eleventh meeting of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League. The series comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field across four different continents and began in Shanghai/Keqiao on 16 May. It concludes with a single final across two days in Brussels (4-5 September).
