There are just a few days left for athletes to secure a place on the start line of this year’s National 10,000m Championships. With the entry deadline on Saturday 11 May, athletes are encouraged to sign up and test themselves against the country’s best – and some top international talent.

The championship A race will be paced for the UKA World Championships consideration standards:

  • Men – 27:20
  • Women – 31:10

Meanwhile, the B races are expected to be paced at approximately 28:45 (men) and 32:20 (women) – providing a high-quality competitive opportunity for those wanting to improve on PBs.

A quality line-up is already taking shape. On the men’s side, Olympic Triathlon champion Alex Yee, Rory Leonard, Ellis Cross, Jake Smith, Marc Scott and Logan Rees will fly the flag alongside international competitors like Efrem Gidey (Ireland), Clément Leduc (France), Jack O’Leary (Ireland), Keelan Kilrehill (Ireland), and Oli Chignell (New Zealand).

The women’s races are equally loaded, with entries confirmed from Jessica Warner-Judd, Izzy Fry, Clara Evans, Amelia Quirk, Jenny Nesbitt, Poppy Tank, Calli Thackery, and Philippa Bowden – all of whom bring top-tier British distance pedigree. Italy’s Federica Del Bueno also joins the line-up.

With entries still open for all races, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a memorable night of 10,000m racing.
