LSU Battle on the Bayou, Baton Rouge LA, USA
Jake Norris (Paul Dickinson) threw a massive 79.55m to break the British Under 20 hammer throw record, set a new personal best and move to the top of the Power of 10 rankings as he won the men’s junior hammer throw.
Having already broken his PB on his first throw as he recorded 78.50, he stepped into the circle again on his fifth throw to break Taylor Campbell’s 78.74m, a record which had stood since June 2015.
The distance is the longest recorded on the junior circuit so far this year and secures Norris a spot at the British U20 trials, to be held in June. He went on to win the men’s hammer throw with a distance of 70.04m.
Jahisha Thomas (John Vernon) set a new PB of 6.44m as she won the women’s long jump with Hollie Parker running a season’s best of 4:24.19 to finish second in the women’s 1500m.

Spec Towns Track, Athens GA, USA
Tim Duckworth (Toby Stevenson) set a fantastic decathlon personal best with a score of 8145, which took him to fourth on the UK all-time list.
He set a number of personal bests during the two days of competition, including 10.40 in the 100m, 48.92 in the 400m, 13.71m in the shot put and a UK leading 8.03m in the long jump.

Sun Angel Track Classic, Tempe AZ, USA
CJ Ujah (Stuart McMillan) opened his outdoor season with times of 10.15 for 100m and 20.92 for 200m.
Hannah Williams (Colin Gaynor) set a PB in the 200m with 24.21, just ahead of Lily Beckford (Linford Christie) who also ran a PB with a time of 24.54.

Joseph Ellis (Jerry Clayton) continued the strong start to the season Britain’s hammer throwers are enjoying as he threw 70.15m, not far away from his personal best.

Multi-eventer Marilyn Nwawulor (Lloyd Cowan) recorded a new shot put PB with a throw of 13.79m.

Greater Manchester Marathon, 8 April
Dani Nimmock (Pauline Ash) won the women’s race with a time of 2:38:21 to go top of the Power of 10 rankings for 2018.
