Weekend update

Manchester Road Race, Connecticut, USA, 22 November

Showing good form on the roads this week was Andrew Butchart (Terrence Mahon) as he continued his return from injury with a third place finish in the Manchester Thanksgiving Road Race in America.

Running with the lead group over the 4.7 mile course, Butchart eventually had to settle for third in 21.45, just 30 shy of winner Edward Cheserek who broke the course record.


Wilmslow Festive 10k, Manchester, 25 November

Eilish McColgan (coach: Liz Nuttall) continued her excellent road form, as a month on from her victory at the Great South Run as she posted a 32.29 winning performance in Wilmslow.  Eighth overall in a mixed race, McColgan celebrated her 28th birthday in style as she broke the women’s course record.



South of Thames CCA 5 Championships, Morden Park, 24 November

Away from the Liverpool leg of the British Athletics Cross Challenge, multiple times GB cross country international Phil Wicks (Keith Donkin) continued his comeback with a dominant victory at the prestigious South of the Thames race.
