Fans will have the opportunity to see the very best of British in action next February with tickets for the 2022 UK Athletics Indoor Championships going on sale.

Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Wednesday 8th December, which will take place on the 26th & 27th February 2022 at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham.

The Utilita Arena Birmingham has become a hotbed of indoor athletics having last held the British Indoor Championships back in 2019.

The Championships will take place just a week after the Müller Indoor Grand Prix Birmingham in the same venue, and home athletes will hope to build on strong performances from that competition.

With 26 events – 13 for both men and women – taking place across the two days, it promises to be a fantastic weekend of action.

The event was first held in Birmingham in 2007 although this will be the first time it has been held since the 2020 Championships in Glasgow, with the 2021 edition unable to be staged due to COVID-19.

Keely Hodgkinson was among those to claim a British title last time out and now a European Indoor champion and Olympic silver medallist, she could well be looking to defend her title.

There will be tickets available for both days which will see some of Britain’s brightest stars look to seal their place at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade as the event acts as the official trials for the championships.

The World Athletics Indoor Championships take place just three weeks after the UK Indoor Championships, meaning athletes will want to be approaching their best form to seal a place in the squad heading to Serbia.

Alongside Keely Hodgkinson, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Laura Muir and Dina Asher-Smith have all triumphed at the Championships over the years.
