PREVIEW: DAY THREE EVENING

Four athletes are confirmed in final action this evening with a further two also hoping to grab a place in 60m final action during the evening session at the IAAF World Indoor Championships.

It has been a busy few days from Laura Muir (coach: Andy Young) who won a marvellous bronze medal in the 3000m on Thursday evening. Tonight, she will face another battle to get amongst the medals. She professionally executed her 1500m heat last night to advance to the final; expertly tracking Genzebe Dibaba to progress.

Birmingham boy Elliot Giles (Jon Bigg) will enjoy his first world final in the 800m. He qualified through in second place in his heat yesterday after a savvy performance, staying out of danger to book an automatic place in the final.

After late disqualifications, Zoey Clark (Eddie McKenna) and Eilidh Doyle (Brian Doyle) had their slots for the 400m final confirmed, after initially placing in third – outside the automatic qualifiers. However, the world relay silver medallists from 2017 will go for the medals later this evening.

In 60m semi-final action, CJ Ujah (Stuart McMillan) and Andy Robertson (Sam Robertson) will aim to book a place in the final later this evening; they go in semi-finals one and three respectively.

Co-captain Andrew Pozzi (Benke Blomkvist) and David King (James Hillier) begin their campaigns in the 60m hurdles, going in heats four and one respectively.
