Another huge summer of athletics in the UK will see London and Birmingham deliver live world-class athletics action.

Taking place across the weekend of the 20th – 21st July, the iconic Müller Anniversary Games will welcome the world’s best athletes for the only athletics event taking place in London this year.

Yesterday, it was confirmed that Dina Asher-Smith will compete at this years event, the triple European gold medallist said: ‘“It’s always an amazing experience for me to compete at the Müller Anniversary Games in the London Stadium because it’s in my home city. Even though I’ve been something of a regular at the event for a few years now, I still get goosebumps when I have my name called on the start-line and hear the crowd respond”.

The following month, Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium will see the return of the Müller Grand Prix Birmingham on Sunday 18th August, a meeting which has attracted global greats as well as the likes of British superstars Sir Mo Farah, Dina Asher-Smith and Laura Muir in recent years.

Concluding the trio of events on August bank holiday weekend will be the Müller British Athletics Championships (24-25 August) – an event which also serves as the trials ahead of the World Championships in Doha – with the Alexander Stadium playing host to the championships before undergoing a full renovation for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
