CORBISHLEY 45TH AT 2024 WORLD ATHLETICS RACE WALKING TEAM CHAMPS

Cameron Corbishley (coach: Andi Drake, club: Medway & Maidstone) finished 45^th in the men’s 20km race at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships on Sunday (21 April).

He qualified for the global event after clocking a time of 83:09 in Dudince last month but Corbishley faced a tougher test in Antalya, Turkey, as he crossed the line in a time of 1:25:05 overall.

This was his third World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships after finished 40^th in Oman two years ago over the 20km event, and 26^th over the 10km distance in 2016.

Sweden’s Perseus Karlstrom won the men’s race in 1:18:49 while Paul McGrath (ESP) and Diego Garcia Carrera (ESP) rounded out the podium positions.
