CORBISHLEY 45TH AT 2024 WORLD ATHLETICS RACE WALKING TEAM CHAMPS

Cameron Corbishley (coach: Andi Drake, club: Medway & Maidstone) finished 45th in the men’s 20km race at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships on Sunday (21 April).

He qualified for the global event after clocking a time of 83:09 in Dudince last month but Corbishley faced a tougher test in Antalya, Turkey, as he crossed the line in a time of 1:25:05 overall.

This was his third World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships after finished 40th in Oman two years ago over the 20km event, and 26th over the 10km distance in 2016.

Sweden’s Perseus Karlstrom won the men’s race in 1:18:49 while Paul McGrath (ESP) and Diego Garcia Carrera (ESP) rounded out the podium positions.
