ADENEGAN NOMINATED FOR IPC ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

After a world record last month, Kare Adenegan has been nominated for International Paralympic Committee’s Allianz Athlete of the Month for July. Voting is open www.paralympic.org

Adenegan produced the race of her career at the London Stadium at the Müller Anniversary Games in July, beating 10-time world champion Hannah Cockroft in a world record time of 16.80 in the T34 100m.

She has also improved her PBs over 200m (31.53), 400m (60.44) and 800m (1:59.95) so far in 2018 and will contest her first WPA European Championships later this month in Berlin.

The public has until 12:00 (CEST) on Thursday (9 August) to vote for the athlete they want to be the Athlete of the Month for July 2018 via the International Paralympic Committee homepage: www.paralympic.org
