A FURTHER FOUR ATHLETES ADDED TO TEAM GB FOR THE 2020 TOKYO OLYMPIC GAMES

A further four athletes have been added to the athletics squad for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games following the acceptance of World Athletics ranking invitations.
They join the 72 athletes already selected for the team, bringing the total number of athletes to 76.

2017 relay world champion Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake (coach: Lance Brauman, club: Newham and Essex Beagles) will contest the 200m, adding to his 4x100m relay berth which was secured earlier in the week. His addition to the individual event means that Jona Efoloko (Clarence Callender, Sale Harriers) is also selected to the men’s 4x100m relay squad.

British Championships silver medallist David King (Tim O’Neil, City of Plymouth) joins Andrew Pozzi in the men’s 110m hurdles following the acceptance of his invite.
Emily Borthwick (Fuzz Caan, Wigan and District) has earned an invitation in the women’s high jump. Having revised her personal best to 1.93m earlier this season, she will join Morgan Lake in the event.

Finally, British 1500m Champion Revee Walcott-Nolan (Dale King-Clutterbuck, Luton) has received her invite and will join Laura Muir and Katie Snowden in the event.
