The British Athletics CROSS CHALLENGE 2016-2017

Liverpool CC 2015

British Athletics has announced the dates and locations for the 2016/17 Cross Challenge. The series incorporates five key fixtures across the autumn and winter season as thousands of athletes seek to become Britain’s best cross country athletes.

The Cross Challenge offers five high quality and competitive cross country opportunities for athletes which culminate with the series finale, being held in Loughborough for the first time in March 2017. In order to be eligible for prizes at the Final, athletes must have competed in two of the previous four cross challenge fixtures. There is no entry fee for those who qualify.

The Cross Challenge also gives up-and-coming athletes the opportunity to match themselves against established cross country stars with competitive fields catering for all age-groups; senior, under-20, under-17, under-15 and under-13.

The Cross Challenge events will be held at Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Antrim, Cardiff and Loughborough.

With cash prizes on offer, the British Athletics Cross Challenge guarantees fantastic racing opportunities.

British Athletics believes that the series is a fundamental pathway for endurance competitors and looks forward to once again working with the various organisers who deliver quality events each time.
