Alexander Stadium - Venue Guide

Venue Information

The Alexander Stadium has seen many memorable moments over the years at the British Championships and Diamond League events. The last Diamond League was at held at the Alexander Stadium in 2019 before the stadium underwent a full renovation for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The Müller Birmingham Diamond League, in May, will be one of the first events to be held in the new stadium and will be a test event for the Commonwealth Games. Please be aware that some aspects of the venue may be unfinished and differ from your last visit. We will update this page with information regularly and once confirmed.

Your safety is our number one priority and we have a number of security measures in place to ensure you have the safest and most enjoyable experience.

Please minimise the amount of possessions you bring with you to the event. Our security provision for the event will include searching so please allow extra time to get to the venue, as a full bag and body search will be in operation.

There will be a police and security presence at the event as we work closely with our agencies and partners to ensure the safety and security of those attending.
