CROSS CHALLENGE SERIES DATES ANNOUNCED

The dates for the 2017/18 British Athletics Cross Challenge series have now been announced, with the meetings for this winter’s series taking place at the below venues on the dates specified:

  • Llandaff Fields, Cardiff – Saturday 14 October
  • Teardrop Lakes, Milton Keynes – Saturday 11 November
  • Sefton Park, Liverpool – Saturday 25 November
  • CAFRE, Greenmount Campus, Antrim – Saturday 6 January (2018)
  • Prestwold Hall, Loughborough – Saturday 10 March (2018)

The Cross Challenge offers five high quality and competitive cross country opportunities for athletes which culminate with the series finale in Loughborough next March. In order to be eligible for prizes at the final, athletes must have competed in two of the previous four cross challenge fixtures. There is no entry fee for those who qualify.

The Cross Challenge also gives up-and-coming athletes the opportunity to match themselves against established cross country stars with competitive fields catering for all age-groups: senior, under-20, under-17, under-15 and under-13.

British Athletics believes that the series is a fundamental pathway for endurance competitors, and, with cash prizes on offer, the series guarantees fantastic racing opportunities.
