World 24 Hour Team

UKA have selected a five-strong team for next month’s IAU 24 Hour World Challenge in Bergamo, Italy. Amongst those in the Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland team for the event - which also doubles as the European Championships – are seasoned internationals Sharon Gayter (North Yorks Moors) and Pauline Walker (Carnegie Harriers).

Gayter was 6th at the 2006 IAU 24 Hour World Challenge in Chinese Taipei and Walker was 5th in the European 24 Hour Track Championships in Verona, Italy, also in 2006. The Bergamo-hosted event takes place on May 2-3.
