2014 First News Competition

The competition is open to anyone who submits an entry with a valid email address.

  • Only one entry per person is permitted. In the case of multiple entries the first dated entry will be registered.
  • The winner must be accompanied by an parent/guardian.
  • The prize is as listed in the competition. There is no alternative to the prize offered.
  • The winner will be notified by email from British Athletics.
  • The pair of tickets will incorporate one for the winner and the other for parent/guardian.
  • The opening and closing date and time for entries is as indicated in the Competition Information. Any entries received before or after these times will be disregarded.
  • The winner is randomly selected from all the correct and valid entries.
  • Prizes do not include any travel and accommodation expenses incurred.
  • Prizes will be posted to mainland UK only.
  • Prizes cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged.

  • The competitions is run on Twitter and is open to anyone who submits an entry before 12.00 GMT on Saturday 25 January.

  • The prize is as listed - a pair of VIP tickets to a 2014 outdoor season British Athletics major event of your choice. There is no alternative to the prize offered.
  • The winner will be selected at random.
  • The winner will be notified by direct message on Twitter.
  • The judges' decision is final.

Fast Girls DVD Competition_Terms & Conditions

  • The competition is open to anyone who submits an entry with a valid email address plus other requested contact details.
  • Only one entry per person is permitted. In the case of multiple entries the first dated entry will be registered.
  • The prize is as listed – a copy of the DVD release of the movie Fast Girls. There is no alternative to the prize offered
  • The winners will be selected from the correct answers to the question at random.
  • The closing date for entries is Friday 16th November 2012 at 09.00hrs BST.
  • The winner will be notified by phone or email soon after.
  • The judges' decision is final.

UKA 2012 The Telegraph Subscribers Offer

  • Open to residents of UK aged 18 or over only, excluding employees of Promoter and their immediate families, as well as Promoter's agents or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.

  • No purchase is required. To be eligible, entrants must complete and submit an application on the Telegraph subscriber website  with a valid email address, by the offer closing date.

  • Only one entry per person is permitted. In the case of multiple entries the first dated entry will be registered.

  •  The prize is as listed a pair of tickets to the Aviva 2012 Trials on Friday 22nd June 2012.

  •  There will be 250 pairs of tickets on offer, on a first come, first served basis.

  • The closing date for entries is Monday 18th June 5.00 BST.

  • The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  •  The winner will be notified  immediately if they have been successful.

Fast Girls Competition_Terms & Conditions

  • The competition is open to anyone who submits an entry with a valid email address plus other requested contact details.
  • Only one entry per person is permitted. In the case of multiple entries the first dated entry will be registered.
  • The prize is as listed – 2 tickets to an exclusive screening of the movie Fast Girls. There is no alternative to the prize offered and no further expenses such as travel or accomodation will be covered in this prize
  • The winner will be selected from the correct answers to the question at random.
  • The closing date for entries is Thursday 31 May at 09.00hrs BST.
  • The winner will be notified by phone or email on 1 June.
  • The judges' decision is final.

Entry into the competition will be deemed to constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Shot at Glory Photography competition

The competition is open to anyone who submits an entry via www.blipfoto.com.

  •  The prize is as listed in the competition. There is no alternative to the prize offered.

  • Entries will be shortlisted by an independent panel and announced on Monday 4 June

  • The winner will be the entry with the most number of votes on Blipfoto

  • The winner will be notified by phone and/or email

  •  In the event of the votes being tied, the winner will be selected by independent panel and the judges' decision is final.

  •  The winning prize is for accreditation to the Aviva 2012 Trials on Friday 22nd June 2012

  •  In the event that the first prize winner can not attend on Friday 22nd June 2012, the prize will be offered to the second named winner

  • Accreditation will be subject to limitations and the winner will only be allowed in the outfield photography points and not infield

  •  The first prize winner must adhere to UK Athletics accreditation policy (which can be found on http://www.uka.org.uk/aviva-series/home/media-info/)

  • Standard class, return travel for one person is included in the first prize. Please note accommodation and other expenses is not included

  • Prizes will be posted to mainland UK only

  • Prizes cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged

  • Entry into the competition will be deemed to constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions, and the terms and conditions of the Blipfoto website (http://www.blipfoto.com/legal/terms)

  •  All entries will be checked and any selection which does not agree with the above rules and regulations will be disqualified from competition.

 

UKA 2012 Fantasy Athletics Competition - brought to you by the Aviva Series

The competition is open to anyone who submits an entry with a valid email address.

  • Only one entry per person is permitted. In the case of multiple entries the first dated entry will be registered.

  • The prize is as listed in the competition. There is no alternative to the prize offered.

  • The winner will be notified by phone and/or email

  • The winner will be the entrant with the most number of cumulative points.

  • In the event of a tie, the entrant whose athletes have the most number of 1st places finishes will be declared the winner.

  • In the event of the above decider being tied, the process will be applied for 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

  • In the event of the above decider being tied the result will be determined by a coin toss.

  • The judges' decision is final.

  • All entries will be checked and any selection which does not agree with the above  rules and regulations will be disqualified from competition.

  • Aviva Series event choice only, does not include Tier preference.

Terms & Conditions

runbritain Facebook Page adidas miCoach Competition (April-May 2011)

Terms & Conditions

  • The competition is open to all fans of the official runbritain.com Facebook Page at the time the draw is made.

  • The prize is an adidas miCoach interactive personal coaching and training system. There is no alternative to the prize offered.

  • There will be one winner, selected from current fans of the official runbritain.com Facebook Page at random on Monday 30 May 2011. The winner will be notified via Facebook.

  • Once notified, the winner will have 21 days to respond, after which time they will forfeit the prize and another winner will be drawn at random.

Terms & Conditions

  • The competition is open to all fans of the official UKA Facebook Page at the time the draw is made.

  • The prize is a signed Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland vest. There is no alternative to the prize offered.

  • There will be one winner, selected from current fans of the official UKA Facebook Page at random on Tuesday 15 March 2011. The winner will be notified via Facebook.

  • Once notified, the winner will have 21 days to respond, after which time they will forfeit the prize and another winner will be drawn at random.

Terms & Conditions

  • The promotion is a prize draw, which is open to anyone who buys a ticket for the Aviva Grand Prix on 19th February 2011 between Thursday 3rd February and midnight on Thursday 10th February 2011.

  • The prize is as listed in the competition. There is no alternative to the prize offered.

  • There are five prizes available and each prize winner will be allowed a maximum of 1 accompanying guest.

Mitchum Endurance Marathon Competition

Competition Terms and Conditions

 

 The Promoter is Revlon International Corporation, Greater London House, Hampstead Road, London NW1 7QX.

 

 Terms and Conditions:

 

  1. Open to residents of UK aged 18 or over only, excluding employees of Promoter and their immediate families, as well as Promoter's agents or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.
  2. No purchase is required.  To be eligible, entrants must complete and submit an application on the UKA website - http://www.uka.org.uk/sponsors/mitchum/, by the competition closing date. The number of entries is not restricted.
  3. Competition closing date:  midnight – 21 November 2010.  The contest prize draw will take place immediately with a judging panel including members from the Promoter. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  4. Competition prize is one valid entry to run the 2011 Virgin London Marathon supplied by Promoter in conjunction with The Goody Bag Company. Prize also includes Mitchum branded t-shirt and Mitchum Endurance for Men anti-perspirant deodorant products. There will be no alternative awards, cash or otherwise.
  5. No travel expenses, to or from the event or otherwise, are included in the prize.
  6. By accepting the prize the winner is committing to taking part in the 2011 Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 17 April 2011.
  7. If the prize winner is unable to run the 2011 Virgin London Marathon, such winner must notify the Promoter and the prize will be awarded to a runner up.
  8. The winner and runner up will be notified after the competition closing date. 

 

Winner's name and that of the runner up will be available via the above UKA website for a minimum period of 3 months after the closing date. 

 

All entrants must register for the contest by giving their correct name, address, and email address. Entrants must acknowledge that they have read and agree with the provisions and consent to use of their personal information.

 

The winner and runner up must demonstrate proof of identity and age.

 

 The winner and runner up must be prepared to cooperate with publicity arising as a result of winning. It is a condition of entry that the winner and runner up agree to the use of their name, photograph and video in publicity material and activities on and off line.

 

In addition, winners (and the runner up, if applicable) must agree to communicate with Revlon as to the progress of their training in the months before the marathon, including providing photographs.

 

 Neither the Promoter nor the promotional parties assumes any responsibility or liability for-

Mitchum Training Masterclass Consumer Competition

  • This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom, excluding employees of Revlon International Corporation (the Promoter), their families, agencies, or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.

  • Entrants must be 18 years old or over.

  • Entrants must submit personal information, including, their names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, gender, age, membership in athletic club (if applicable), and must state the why they should win a day at the track with a member of the Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland athletics team. 

  • Entries must be received by 23rd August 2010.  Winners will be announced by 25th August 2010.  A total of 18 winners will be selected.
  • Promoter reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, altered or illegible entries.  Determination of prize winner shall be at Promoter's sole discretion. Promoter's decision as to winner will be final and binding.
  • Entries become the absolute property of Promoter and will not be returned. Promoter shall be entitled to use entries, and all personal information contained therein, in any way that it considers appropriate.
  • Prizes cannot be changed in any way and is not transferable: it will be given only to winners selected by the Promoter. 
  • No cash or other alternative prize will be given.
  • Winners must consent to the use of their photo/image in connection with publicity accompanying or resulting from this Competition.
  • Mitchum Training Masterclass is to be a group session with a member of the Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland athletics team, but may not be athlete featured in promotional materials.  Mitchum Training Masterclass will not be a one-on-one session with athletes.

  • The Mitchum Training Masterclass is scheduled to take place at Loughborough University on Sunday, 5th September 2010. Competition winner must be available to attend on this date. Promoter may at any time and because of any occurrence beyond its reasonable control, postpone or cancel the Mitchum Training Masterclass.

  • Winners are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from the event

  • Winners must be of good health and subject to medical assessment by the UKA Coach before taking part in the Mitchum Training Masterclass

  • Neither the Promoter nor any of its affiliates or employees shall have any responsibility for any injury, damage, or cost experienced or incurred by any participant.

Aviva UKA academy competition terms and conditions 

  • No purchase necessary

  • The competition is open to children aged 8-15 and residents in the British Isles, except employees and their families of Aviva/UKA or anyone connected with the competition

  • The prize must be accepted as offered and it is not transferable

  • There will be no alternative awards, cash or otherwise.

  • The winning entries are the first entries drawn at random

  • Closing date is midnight on Friday 26th June.

  • One entry per person.

  • Prize winners will be notified by telephone the week commencing 29 June 2009. Winners must confirm acceptance of the prize within 24 hours otherwise the right to claim the prize will be lost and the promoter resevers the right to re-award the prize.

  • Registration of valid details entitles the recipient to access the exclusive pre-sale commencing at 10:00hrs on Friday 19th April 2013.

  • Pre-sale runs from 10:00hrs on Friday 19th April till 23.30hrs on Sunday 21st April 2013.

  • Registration of details does not guarantee the purchase of a ticket.

  • Access to pre-sale for registered parties will be via a ticket link emailed to individuals using the contact details provided.
